Career Pathways

Partnering to Accelerate Neurodiverse Employment Outcomes

In fall 2024, Wells Fargo awarded a grant to the University of Connecticut to launch the Wells Fargo Center for Neurodiversity and Inclusive Employment at UConn. This pioneering academic-corporate collaboration aims to enhance career pathways for neurodivergent individuals, deliver cutting-edge education for employers, and strengthen connections between job seekers and hiring organizations.

COurses and Workshops

Strategies for Managing Workplace Neurodiversity

UConn’s center offers courses & workshops empowering employers to design and implement neurodiversity initiatives, attract, hire, and retain talent—because without employer understanding, upskilling efforts fail.

Full-Day Workshop

Building Your Company’s Neurodiversity Initiative

Our workshop brings together 10-15 companies for a hands- on, full-day session on designing a neurodiversity initiative. Key leaders learn alongside peers to create tailored strategies for their organizations.

Co-delivered with Wells Fargo’s Neurodiversity Program executives, the workshop combines real-world
corporate expertise with academic insights,
using best practices from Wells Fargo’s
award-winning program.

Neurodiversity Courses

Practical Neurodiversity Training for Employees

UConn’s employer courses empower employees to translate neurodiversity insights into daily actions. Interactive modules show how small adjustments in communication,
collaboration, and task design unlock neurodivergent
strengths.

Moving beyond “what is neurodiversity?”, participants apply behavioral frameworks and scenario-based workshops to define “what will I do differently?” They leave with practical strategies and toolkits for sustainable inclusion.

CAREER NETWORK

Connecting Neurodivergent Individuals With Resources And Employers

We facilitate connections between neurodivergent individuals and the right resources and employers who value their unique strengths. By bringing together
job seekers, companies, universities, and support organizations,
we help create pathways to success.

Neurodivergent Candidates

Individuals in the Neuroinclusive Candidate Network (NCN) connect with companies, peers, knowledge, events,
and resources supporting their career journey. Neurodivergent students and job seekers can
upskill, enhance their candidacy, and apply for
roles that embrace neurodiversity.

Employers

Organizations that want to communicate their neuroinclusion leadership and build relationships with neurodivergent candidates can join the Inclusive Employers Network (IEN) and share internship and job opportunities with the neurodiverse community when those opportunities meet established standards for neuroinclusion.

University & Community Professionals

For professionals in higher ed and organizations that provide career support for people who learn differently, the UConn University and Community Council (UCC) of over 100 schools and organizations shares curated events, job information, and resources that complement the support they already offer to neurodivergent individuals they serve.
